Free Flow template

Create Opportunity

A Screen Flow that turns a conversation into pipeline. For each person, it first checks Salesforce with Find Existing Records. Known Contacts and Accounts are used, new people are created on the right Account, and the Opportunity gets its Contact Roles. No duplicates, no retyping.

  • Free unmanaged package
  • No Apex
  • Includes Find Existing Records
  • Works with or without FlowRunner

Four screens from email to Opportunity.

Step 1

Who is the deal with?

The people of the email, a person you type, or the Account you start from.

Step 2

Check each person

The screen says what Salesforce already knows. Change the details, pick the Account and the role on the Opportunity.

Step 3

Check for open Opportunities

When the company already has one, you see it before you create a duplicate.

Step 4

Create

Name, Stage, Close Date (today + 30 days) and Amount. The flow creates the Opportunity and the Contact Roles.

It says what it found, and how.

The person screen starts with one of three messages.

We know this person

The Contact is pre-filled. You see the method that found it, for example Email.

New person at a known company

The Account is pre-selected, for example found by its Website. The person is created there.

New person, new company

Create the Contact and the Account on the same screen, with the email domain as Website.

  • Every save has a fault path that shows the Salesforce message.
  • Only the fields on the screen are saved to the Contact.
  • Back is off after a save, so nothing is created twice.

From an email to pipeline.

Stonebridge Supply sells building materials. John Smith, their account manager, gets these emails.

Example case 1

A new prospect

Tom Becker of Northfield Builders asks for a quote. Nobody at Northfield is in Salesforce.

Result: John creates Northfield Builders and Tom Becker on one screen, then "Northfield: Riverside Apartments", Qualification, 85,000, with Tom as Decision Maker.

New Contact · new Account · 1 Contact Role

Example case 2

A new person at a known company

Mike Donovan introduces Ben Ortiz for phase 2.

Result: Ben is not in Salesforce, Harborline Construction is. Ben is created at Harborline, with no duplicate Account.

Account found by Website

Example case 3

A known Contact

Rachel Adams of Keystone Renovations writes about a new batch.

Result: Rachel is pre-filled, and the open Opportunity of Keystone shows before John creates a second one.

John turns a quote request from a new prospect into an Opportunity, from Outlook.

How it works (about 3 min)

Signature parsing, the Outlook category, who sees the flow, and the same flow in plain Salesforce.

Works in Salesforce. Works even better in your inbox.

In Salesforce you start it from the utility bar, a global action or an Account. With FlowRunner, the people you tick on the email arrive in the Flow, the subject becomes the Opportunity name, and with email parsing on, the title and phone come from the signature.
